The TIDI-manufactured polyethylene film used for the sheaths does not inhibit x-rays or impede instrument function. Made without latex, the x-ray sensor sleeve meets established standards on cytotoxicity (ISO 10993-5), skin irritation (ISO 10993-10), and sensitization (ISO 10993-10). Soft, rounded edges eliminate excess x ray sensor sheath material, helping ensure patient comfort. Use of this x-ray sensor cover helps minimize the potential for bacteria buildup on the instrument.
